How to Appeal a Section Radar (Radar de Tramo) Fine in Requena: Downloadable Template

If you have received a traffic fine for speeding in a "radar de tramo" (section radar) zone in the Requena area, you have the legal right to challenge it. A "radar de tramo" measures your average speed between two points rather than your instantaneous speed at a single location. This template is designed to help you formally appeal the penalty if you believe there is a technical error, lack of required signage, or if you were not the driver at the time of the infraction.

How and Where to Submit Your Appeal in Requena

Once you have filled out the template below, you must submit it to the relevant traffic authority (usually the DGT - Dirección General de Tráfico). You have 20 calendar days from the date of notification to submit your "alegaciones" (arguments).

Expert Tip: Be aware that if you submit an appeal, you lose the 50% "early payment" discount. Only proceed with the appeal if you are confident that there is a procedural flaw in the fine notification or if the evidence against you is incorrect. Always keep a stamped copy of your submitted appeal as proof of your interaction with the administration.
