Expert Tip: If the seller refuses to acknowledge the claim or pay for repairs, do not attempt to fix the car yourself before getting a professional expert report ("peritaje"). In Spain, if you repair the vehicle before the seller has had a chance to inspect it or before a legal expert assesses the damage, you may lose your right to claim compensation in court. Always act with the guidance of a local lawyer if the vehicle's value is significant.
