Handing over the signed authorization letter is not enough on its own. To ensure the vehicle successfully passes the inspection without being turned away, the authorized person must also carry the following mandatory documents in the car: the original vehicle Registration Certificate (Permiso de Circulación), the official Technical Specifications Card (Tarjeta de ITV), and proof that the mandatory vehicle insurance (Seguro Obligatorio) is currently active and up to date.
