How to Buy or Sell a Used Car in Taco: Download Your Private Sales Contract Template

Buying or selling a vehicle between private individuals in Spain can be a daunting bureaucratic task. Whether you are in Taco or anywhere else in the Canary Islands, having a legally binding document is essential to protect both the buyer and the seller from future liabilities, hidden defects, or administrative issues. This template serves as a formal "Contrato de Compraventa de Vehículo entre Particulares," which acts as the official private agreement governing the transfer of ownership.

Expert Tip: Always check the vehicle's "Informe de Vehículo" from the DGT before signing any contract. This report costs a small fee but will tell you if the car has any "cargas" (liens), unpaid fines, or legal restrictions that could prevent the transfer. Never hand over the keys until you have verified the payment and have a copy of the signed contract in your hands.
